It is finally spring!! I wanted to celebrate by changing my profile picture again. Last year's theme was Garlic Jester and my favourite location in FFXIV, the Snail in Iddylshire. For this year I wanted to make something adjacent to my fantasy setting of Twilight of the Idols. In the Winter I was making a lot of Carcaso art, which is my other fantasy setting, and it's what I use to express and work through some hard emotions I have for myself. Twilight of the Idols is more hopeful. When I stream pixel art for Twilight of the Idols I'm surrounded by my friends chatting; in Carcaso I am cold and alone. All of my D&D campaigns are ran in Twilight. Carcaso is just for me. Twilight of the Idols has vast oceans and forests, so I wanted to include moths and flowers, and make them deep saturated blues. I also wanted to include a lot of negative space to make the piece feel more open and airy. Goodbye Carcaso, hello Twilight.
